I was sitting there yesterday with my friend Debra having a deep conversation about challenges of our times over some beer and nachos, when all of a sudden I started feeling a pulling censation behind one of my eyes. I rubbed my eye several times but what now turned into pain did not subside. I was feeling a migraine coming on but since I hadn't, until then, had a really bad one, I tried to ignore it. As I continued to ignore what was intensyfying, I kept thinking to myself do I have any aspirin (Bayer is my favorite) or Tylenol, Pamprin, anything at all? Then I thought I would be going soon. I started feeling notious in no time and light-headed with the pulling pain progressively intensyfying behind the eye, When Debra said "You don't look like you feel good right now." I agreed with Deb, and then proceeded to notice that indeed this was worse than I thought. Leaving my unfinished beer, I decided it was ime to call it a night.
We made a quick stop in the bathroom, said our goodbyes and Debra made me promise to text her, once I got home. I made the window in the car go down (I guess we don't say rolled down the window anymore), put on the music, and fought the five-thirty traffic trying to get through the 25-minute drive home without hurling through the window. By then the nasuea pretty much was all that was on my mind.
Finally I made it to my exit and pulled over about 2 blocks from my house, as I didn't feel like running in and plowing through everyone and everything in my way to get to the bathroom, so I could finally throw up. I looked around and with noone in site opened the car door and let nature take its course on the pavement, sticking my head far enough outside the door, as not to affect anything around. I sat there with my head down for a minute and proud of my accomplishment of holding it all in all the way home pretty much, I closed the door and drove the remaining distance to get home.
If anyone saw me from the privacy of their home, I apologize profusely, and what a site for them it must have been. Picture this (this makes me think of "Ma" from the Golden Girls). . .some car pulls up in front of the house, the door opens, someone hurls their brains out, and then proceeds safely on their way.
By the way, today I did drive by the site in question and noticed that somone had swept up some leaves on top of the unsightly mark my brief presence there a mere 12 hours before had left.
Going back to yesterday, once safely in my bed, I quickly texted Deb and pretty much passed out for an hour an a half. When I woke up the pulling in my eye had stopped, and I had some Chamomile tea and later chicken soup. I was exhausted. The nausea remained faintly there for the rest of the evening and through almost an entire day today.
Last night after I woke up I went online and did some research, looking for the culprit of this freightening and novel experience and wait till you find out what I concluded.
